PRP
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), or *Platelet Rich Plasma* treatment, is a method where plasma obtained from a person's own blood is used for treatment purposes. In PRP treatment, the sample taken from the blood is centrifuged and the platelet rich plasma is separated. This plasma is injected into the area of the body that is desired to be healed.
Platelets* contain growth factors that promote wound healing, tissue repair and new cell formation in the body. For this reason, PRP treatment is used in many areas such as skin renewal, hair loss treatment, and treatment of joint and muscle injuries.
Areas where PRP treatment is commonly used:
1. Skin rejuvenation: Elimination of fine wrinkles, improvement of skin structure.
2. Hair loss: Strengthening hair roots and promoting hair growth.
3. Orthopedics: To accelerate healing of joint, tendon and muscle injuries.
Since PRP is made using the person's own blood, the risk of allergy or infection is generally low.
